I've always been a weak-minded person, and I'm sure a lot of you know that.
I think I'm about to break.
Maybe I should get it out in the open, what I think.
It's a real simple subject, and that's being mean vs. standing up for yourself/others.
Such a simple subject to lose all hope in yourself and humanity. Well, that's me.
What do I think, then?
Well... I'd better start at the beginning.
It isn't exactly right for anyone to be mean to someone else, right? I'm sure that makes sense. If some guy bullies someone else, then, well, that's not right.
I also understand that it's right to stand up for yourself if someone's being mean to you, or defend someone else if you feel you should. I won't go into odd details if that person wants help or not.
Either way, if you stand up for yourself or someone else that this bully person was mean to, do you retaliate by being mean back?
Yes?
No?
Well, this is the point that I just can't seem to work with.
What I personally think, no. No, you shouldn't be mean to anyone, even if they were a douche to you or anyone else.
That doesn't mean you can't stand up for yourself, of course. Defending someone or yourself does not, or at least, should not, equate to being mean to someone who was being a bully.
I don't know what anyone else thinks. Maybe they think it's a thing of karma. And I could see that. I still couldn't say I'd agree though.
Or, maybe people look like they're being mean, but they're not, and I'm just too sensitive. Maybe it comes across the bully person at a good pace to tell them they're doing wrong and gets them to stop without hurting them.
I mean, what if a guy acted like a douche to someone else, and they retaliated by being mean to him? Say it got the point across and got him to stop, but it hurt his feelings. Not like that happens a lot, but please bear with me.
So, that may be karma, but assume the guy realized he shouldn't be mean and wanted to make up for it.
Well, in a case like that, it's not right to keep being mean, is it? I mean, what's the use of being mean to someone when you don't need to be?
I don't know. I just might be way too weak to take what people are saying.
It just feels like, people always seem to think their actions are justified, even when they act like a dick or just retaliate almost cruelly. I won't address those who can defend themselves and avoid being too mean, and I'm guessing you guys really want to tell me there are people out there who can do so. I get that. But not everyone's like that, least, I don't believe everyone is.
So, yeah. I just feel it's like, hate being justified. If that's the case, I don't even know if I can keep faith in a race that seems so, contemptible. I don't want to lose faith, but it's just like there's so much hate everywhere.
...I need time off computer. .3.
Well, that's my rant. If that angers you, go ahead and leave a justified hate-comment. I'll try to be ready.
